Reliability– I am hardworking, dependable and trustworthy.

Punctuality– I usually go to work on time.

Contributions to the team– I am one of the main educators in the classroom and most of the time, I lead the transitions and program plan, communicate with families and run the program.

Communication– I communicate with the mentor educator in the room and share the program planning and discuss the behviours of children and how to support them. Engaging in the conversation with the mentor educator and other educators helps to understand the issue and provide other perspectives.

Problem-Solving-Working with children with autism is sometimes challenging. It is consistent problem-solving. For example, a child with autism needed a diaper change. I asked him to lay down the changing mat. He did not pay any attention and kept looking at the name tags on the cubbies. I showed him a light toy and he got fascinated with it and lay on the mat which helped me to change the diaper.
